LaserNet Jax was founded in Jacksonville, Florida in 2008 by John Wagner with a straightforward premise: shippers and 3PL partners deserved direct access to railroad capacity — without a broker adding a markup between them and the railroad.
Our railroad relationships go back to the early 2000s, through our parent company Laser Networking based in Taylor, Michigan. By the time the Jacksonville office opened in 2008, we already had decades of carrier relationships at every major rail ramp in North America.
Over 25,000+ shipments later, the premise hasn’t changed. Every customer gets the same priority, the same dedicated contact, and the same level of service — regardless of volume.
We hold direct contracts with CSX Transportation, Norfolk Southern, Union Pacific, CN Rail, and CP Rail. Our asset-based drayage sister company, Rightway Transport, adds additional capacity on select lanes that most IMCs and all brokers simply don’t have.
